"Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said it best when he said, 'Everyone can't be famous, but everyone can be great. Greatness is shown through service.' I plan to continue providing service to affect social change in society and my community while paving the way for those coming behind me. I want my legacy to be one of hope and inspiration".
Dr. McCollum is a Global Transformation consultant based out of New York, New York where he consults in both the commercial and government industries. He is also a professor at Walden University where he mentors doctoral students and teaches doctoral studies in the Schools of Management. He is the author of "Process Improvement in Quality Management Systems: Case Studies Analyzing Carnegie Mellon's Capability Maturity Model" and "Strength of a Black Man: Destined for Self-Empowerment."
Dr. McCollum is a delegate in the People to People Ambassador Program. He is also a member of many community service organizations including, but not limited to, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, American Society for Training and Development, Organizational Development Network and Organizational Development Institute.
- Robere Brunson, Chair, Fundraising Committee
Mr. Brunson is currently an aircraft mechanic for the both the Executive/Legislative Branches of the government and for the Air Force Reserves at Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina. He is also a maintenance and combat first aid instructor. He is active in his children's school, volunteering to be the "adopted dad" for field trips and other everyday activities to provide a recurring father figure. Children and education are his primary concerns, he participates in Junior Achievement and other various mentoring programs.
